Demelzas Retreat: A Week of Tranquility
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I recently spent a blissful week at Demelzas Retreat, and I can’t recommend it enough. Here’s a day-by-day account of my stay:
Day 1: Arrival and First Impressions
As I pulled up to the charming caravan, I was greeted by Penny, the warm-hearted owner. She provided a thorough tour, highlighting all the amenities.
The cozy interior instantly felt like home. The kitchenette was well-equipped, and the beds were inviting.
Day 2-3: Exploring the Surroundings.
Evenings were spent on the outdoor patio, sipping wine and watching the sunsets.
Day 4: Beach Day
A short drive took me to Portreath Beach. The crashing waves and golden sands were a perfect backdrop for relaxation.
Back at Demelzas, I enjoyed a quiet evening reading.
Day 5-6: North vs. South Coast
I split my time between the rugged, windy, Lands End and the beach’s.
Returning to the caravan each night felt like returning to my own little sanctuary.
Day 7: Farewell
As my stay came to an end, I reflected on the tranquility, the friendly neighbours, and the cosy nights.
Demelzas Retreat had truly worked its magic on me.
Verdict: Demelzas Retreat is more than a place to stay; it’s an experience. Whether you’re seeking adventure or simply want to unwind, this hidden gem in Cornwall is waiting to welcome you. 🌿

Last weekend I was lucky enough to spend some downtime at the appropriately named Demelzas Retreat in Cornwall. We were surrounded by peace and tranquillity, even on a bank holiday weekend!
Penny Connorton has thought of everything to make this space a home away from home, where you can walk straight in and feel relaxed.
The property is based just meters away from the Great Flat Lode, which provides miles of walking trails around the local area where you will also find pubs/restaurants and shops. Located close to Redruth it is the ideal location for exploring both the North and South coasts with stunning rugged beaches as well as quaint Cornish towns and even the Poldark mine.
I can highly recommend a stay.

I booked this place to do some scouting of local beaches for the surf therapy retreats I run. It was extremely cosy, well priced and spacious. It would easily accommodate 4 people and has a lovely deck area and grass space around the front which would be ideally for children.
